Down Town
This area refers to the center and the east district of downtown.It had prospered as a business district until Expo ‘86 which brought changes to the district. A Hong Kong company syndicate named Li Ka-Shing purchased the former Expo sites for three hundred fifty million (350,000,000) dollars and developed a plan to build fifteen thousand (15,000) condominium units. A yacht harbor was built on the south side and is surrounded by luxurious condominiums.
