West Vancouver
This is the area on the west across the Lions Gate Bridge which is located on the north side of Vancouver. There is a story that Mr. Guinness, the president of Guinness Brewery who lived in West Vancouver, had built the bridge at his own expenses and later donated it to the city. This area is famous for the British Properties, a high-class residential area with a bird’s-eye view of Vancouver and the ocean utilizing the mountain slope. Horseshoe Bay, the terminal of ferries bound to Vancouver Island, is located on the west.
